Getting more involved in research

Involvement in research is different from taking part in a study. It means research done with members of the public, not to or about them. The following websites provide more information on how to get involved in research:

A forum that aims to improve the quality and value of cancer research through consumer involvement

Regional groups that bring together people affected by cancer who wish to be more involved in cancer research

A patient advocate charity that promotes patient input into cancer research

A national advisory group that promotes public involvement in health research

This is provided by the National Cancer Research Network and lists forthcoming PPI events, meetings and conferences
