Pancreatic Cancer UK opens ‘Future Leaders Academy’ and ‘Grand Challenge’ research funding rounds
Pancreatic Cancer UK has opened two funding schemes aiming to transform the pancreatic cancer research landscape and attract new talent and expertise to the community
- Through the Pancreatic Cancer UK Grand Challenge Award, £1m will be available for a single project to tackle one or more of the major barriers or issues in pancreatic cancer, which when resolved would make a significant impact on the lives of those affected.
- The Future Leaders Academy will provide up to £500,000 funding to one outstanding UK research institution to support at least four PhD students to undertake research relating to pancreatic cancer. The exact projects for the students may not be known at the time of application, but the themes of research and training package should be clearly defined.
The deadlines for applications under both rounds is in October 2016.
