Although Geoff Watts has spent the greater part of his working life as a science and medical journalist, he has also spent several years in medical research (one of them in cancer research) and also a year working part time as acting head of science communications for the Imperial Cancer Research Fund. He will draw on these experiences to discuss the public face of cancer research as seen from both sides of the science-media relationship.
