Studies of haematological malignancies continue to provide important paradigms for cancer biology and therapy. Dr Mullighan and Dr Cools will present recent advances in our understanding of the molecular pathogenesis of acute lymphoblastic and acute myeloid leukaemia respectively. Professor Burnett will describe the remarkable heterogeneity of acute myeloid leukaemia and its relevance for therapeutic strategies
