Making things happen: the work of the National Coalition

In order to address the needs and wishes of different groups in society it is essential to raise public awareness about death, dying and bereavement. As the Chair of the new coalition set up by the National Council for Palliative Care.
Our aim is: ‘To support changing knowledge, attitudes and behaviours towards death, dying and bereavement, and through this to make ‘living and dying well’ the norm.’
I will explore our approach, set out the priorities, the identified groups and audiences, and include how we intend to measure success.
