The BT Convention Centre opened in April 2008 and is situated in the heart of Liverpool on the historic, world heritage waterfront.

It is one of the most sustainable venues in Europe - harvesting rainwater for toilet flushing and generating its own electricity supply from a crop of turbines on the river - and has been awarded a string of environmental and architectural accolades for its design.

Travel information

The venue is within easy walking distance of all parts of the city centre and can be easily accessed using any of the below transport methods.

Travelling by plane

The Convention Centre can be easily accessed from two airports.

The nearest airport is the Liverpool John Lennon Airport. A taxi from the airport to the city centre will take 20 minutes or the express bus service Route 500 will take 25 minutes, dropping you off within a five minute walk of ACC Liverpool.

Manchester International airport is only 45 minutes by taxi to the Convention Centre or 1 hour by train to Liverpool Lime Street station (see below).

Travelling by train

Lime Street Train Station is only a 20 minute walk or short taxi ride from the Convention Centre and operates all main line services across the UK, including hourly London services.

Travelling by car

There is a 1600 space car park available on site which is signposted Waterfront on the city wide 'available spaces' signage.
