This is the first time that clear LWBC research priorities have been identified. They are the most impactful research questions that will help improve the lives of people affected by cancer.
The priorities will allow researchers and research funders to focus on what matter most to people affected by cancer. NCRI is working with funders, researchers, NHS and others to translate the priorities into research and patient benefit. Macmillan Cancer Support, the National Institute for Health Research and Tenovus Cancer Care are actively looking at the top priorities identified for development into themes of their future funding calls.
We are developing research strategies around each of the top priorities and evaluating the NCRI Clinical Studies Groups (CSGs) structure supporting research to improve the quality of life of people living with and beyond cancer.
