Could you help us to develop an innovative and exciting programme for the next NCRI Cancer Conference?
Date published: Jul 06 2017
Planning an NCRI Conference is no mean feat, and begins more than 18 months ahead of the event. The process involves more than 30 scientists, clinicians and people affected by cancer who work together within four sub-committees, reporting to an Executive Committee and the NCRI Conference and Events team.
This approach ensures the NCRI Cancer Conference programme meets the needs of the cancer research community in the UK and continues to develop as a high-quality international event.
Members of the committees have wide-ranging involvement including suggesting and agreeing keynote plenary speakers and topics for different sessions; working with the NCRI Conference and Events team to achieve a balanced programme across disciplines; and reviewing abstracts submitted for presentation.
From 2018 Conference onwards, the scientific programme for the Conference will cover five broad themes, and we are seeking new committee members to help develop the scientific programme for each theme.
Further details of the remit of each sub-committee and how you can apply to become a member can be found here. We will review applications in August, so please do get in touch as soon as possible.
We look forward to hearing from you.
