Could you help to design & deliver cancer research in the UK? Do you have a strong interest in cancer research? Are you passionate about the patient experience?

If you have recently experienced cancer as a patient or carer and want to help shape the development of research trials for cancer patients, then we’d like to hear from you! The National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) involves patients and carers (consumers) at all stages of our work, which include developing clinical trials and high quality studies exploring a range of treatment approaches for specific cancer types. We offer training, support and a scientific mentor to all consumer members. Consumer members also become members of the NCRI Consumer Forum, our wider patient/carer group.

We are committed to increasing the diversity of our consumer representation and encourage individuals based throughout the UK, from all ethnic groups, all age groups, and from people with experience of all kinds of cancer, to join us.

If you are interested in hearing further details about how we involve patients and carers, or would like to hear about future opportunities, please contact us as
